Washington Families,

This is Principal Paul Travers with your weekly message. Thank you to everyone who came out last week to participate in the Washington Elementary Farmers Market.

As a reminder, the Candy Gram sale is still ongoing. One Candy Gram costs $0.50. Candy Grams are a great way to send a sweet treat and a message to a fellow Washingtonian.

Upcoming Events:

  • Monday, December 9th: Green for Grinch Day - Students are invited to wear green.
  • Tuesday, December 10th: Holiday Headgear Day - Students are invited to wear their favorite holiday headgear.
    • 4th and 5th graders: Field trip to the Greensboro History Museum
    • Speed and Agility Pathway: Field trip to Proehlific Park
    • SBLT Meeting: 3:00 PM in the Media Center
  • Wednesday, December 11th: Winter Wonderland Day - Students are invited to wear blue and white.
  • Thursday, December 12th: Favorite Holiday Character Day - Students are invited to dress as their favorite holiday character.
    • Science Fair
  • Friday, December 13th:  Favorite Holiday Sweater Day - Students are invited to wear their favorite holiday sweater and the last day for Candy Gram sales

Health and Wellness Tip: Involve your kids in meal planning and preparation. This can make mealtime more fun and encourage healthy eating habits.

Looking Ahead:

  • Monday, December 16th: Dress Your Holiday Best Day
  • Friday, December 20th: Pajama Day and Last Day of School Before Winter Break
